David is a surgeon and is kept quite busy at hospital with the many thousands of patients. Des and Liz first came to Chitokoloki as part of a team assessing the medical needs of the assembly hospitals in Zambia. After a short visit at Chitokoloki Des saw the great need for his services as a doctor of anaesthesiology and has returned to Zambia several times each year since to help in the medical work.
